 Many people believe that December 2012 is the end of the world, and that there will be great catastrophes that almost destroy the human race. Many people assume this based on what they say is Mayan prophecy that predicts just such a dire outcome. Having looked at the Mayan calendar for some time I have yet to discover any prophecies predicting the end of the world. Have any of you seen such a prophecy? Some believe that because one of the 27 different Mayan calendars ends on that date that there was no more information to record. But there are alternate theories about why the Mayan calendar "ends" on that date, including the fact that no one really fully understands the Mayan calendars because so much of the Mayan's science and esotery was intentionally destroyed by Cortez (at least they claim to have destroyed it. Maybe it's really locked up in some vault in the Vatican). One wonders how much valuable information was lost during what I call the "Mayan Inquisition", i.e. the conversion of their population to Christianity. Some believe, based on the advent of the Age of Aquarius on or about that same date of December 2012 (which also happens to be the date of the great Piscean/Aquarian procession of the equinox) that December 2012 is not the end of the world, but the end of the Age... the Piscean Age. I have acctually been watching some of this information on the history channel and only yesterday I mentioned it to one of my family members because I remember when I was just a child at home and my late father had some of this information in our house as he experiemented with every form of God he could find he was a seeker. 03/27/2011 11:08pm
